Chrissy Metz: My #WCW

I met this force of beautiful nature last night in Atlanta! She is such an inspiration and an amazing story teller. I am literally binge reading her new book, “This Is Me” right now and can’t seem to put it down. Another inspirational fatherless daughter in the tribe.

My husband is a STUD!

A-Rod is not bad either. My husband and the Hawks joined forces with A-Rod’s new show, “Back in the Game” on CNBC. It is an upclose and personal look at how athletes who run into hard times get back on their feet in the business world. Great T.V. folks.

Chrissy Metz is my new #WCW

I already obcessed with the show This is Us like every other sane person in the world write now. However, I am now crushing hard on @ChrissyMetz after reading an excerpt in @People about her. Not only did she have to overcome a lot of childhood obstacles, but she also had to learn how to deal with the journey of fatherlessness while simultaneously enduring them all. She says, “hurt people hurt people” when discussing her feeling towards her stepfather in her bew book, “This Is Me.”

Her book is a MUST read for anyone who has suffered pain and learned how to turn it into power! Yasssssss girl!

Celebrity Dance Challenge on Behalf of EDIN!

Okay, I am crazy! I have accepted the challenge to be in the #CelebrityDanceChallenge for #Edin (Eating Disorders Information Network) on behalf of fatherless daughters. In our study, 11% of FD’s used anorexia/bulimia to cope with being fatherless. If you want to help me with this cause please donate here  #charity #TheFatherlessDaughterMovement#dance #atlanta #giveback #dancingwiththestars

I have a smidge of rhythm and a lot of heart, so hopefully both will bode well for me on the dance floor!

Should We Break up or Make up…that is the question!

Are you having a hard time trying to figure out if you should break up or make up with your current partner? If so, you are not alone. Many women vacillate between two extremes when they love someone who is not quite right for them. They tend to fall in love with a person’s potential verus the actual person and that potential can lead us astray.

Here are a few check points to see if you should stay or go.

  • You feel accepted and loved
  • Your friends and family like the two of you together
  • Your conflicts provide resolution in a timely, healthy manner
  • You have the same life goals and working towards them together
  • You can be yourself
  • You can grow together
  • You feel protected
  • You feel happy when you are togehter

  • You are trying to mold into something that will fit with their view of love
  • You do not feel loved or accepted
  • You have conflicts that never find true resolution
  • You ignore internal warning signs
  • You fear being alone
  • You break up and semi make up on the regular
  • Jealousy or fear are a big part of your union
  • You are unhappy
