Having a full, loyal and giving heart is an inherent trait for most fatherless daughters. As a fatherless daughter, it feels very natural to want to always give of yourself. You want to “be there” for everyone who needs you. For you, there is no other way. You don’t want to see anyone
abandoned or left alone to deal with their own pain because you know just how lonely that can be. Most fatherless daughters have an entire tribe they are mothering at any given time leaving little time for their own personal salvation. This is a blessing and a curse. Don’t get burned out. Save some light for yourself. Remember, loving yourself first does not mean you are selfish. It means you have self care.
