How many of you are as confused as I am about the customary New Year’s Eve song, “Auld Lang Syne” which kind of rambles on about remembering people from our past? Are we supposed to be sad that they are gone or happy they left? I guess it depends on the situation, but to me, the song is just a wee bit depressing. I don’t know about you, but when I was single, I wanted to jump off a cliff when that Scottish tune came on.
The new year is supposed to be HAPPY and full of glee. This year I will be listening to Bob Marley’s lyrics to , “Don’t Worry be Happy.” I took the liberty of putting them hear for you.
2016 is going to be an EPIC YEAR. Don’t worry, be happy (at least on NYE)!
You might want to sing it note for note
Don’t worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry, you make it double
Don’t worry, be happy
Don’t worry, be happy now
Don’t worry
Woo-ooh-woo-ooh-woo-ooh-ooh
Be happy
Woo-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Don’t worry, be happy
Don’t worry
Woo-ooh-woo-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Be happy
Woo-ooh-woo-ooh-ooh
Don’t worry, be happy
Somebody came and took your bed
Don’t worry, be happy
The landlord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don’t worry (Ha-ha ha-ha ha-ha)
Be happy (Look at me, I’m happy)
Don’t worry…
