Denna D. Babul is an expert in the field of fatherlessness and specializes in helping fatherless daughters reconcile their pasts to find their life’s purpose. Denna is an award-winning author of The Fatherless Daughter Project: Understanding Our Losses and Reclaiming Our Lives (Avery-Penguin-Random House 2016).
Denna has appeared on the Today Show, Fox News, CNN, Sirius XM, Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy and many other media outlets. She has been featured in Time, Redbook, MamaGlow and countless other blogs, websites, and magazines. Denna is a member of Women in Film & Television Atlanta and The National Speakers Association of Georgia. She is a weekly contributor to NBC’s Atlanta and Company on Real Talk along with her own segment “Friend to Friend.”
Nicknamed “the reader,” Denna has the ability to read people on the spot and teach them how to transform a difficult past into a thriving future. Getting people refocused and on to their life’s purpose is what she lives to do. As one fatherless daughter put it, “Talking to Denna is like having your best friend, an intuitive guru, and a drill sergeant, with a slight southern drawl, all in one. It is the highlight of my week.”
Leneé Braxton, D.PSc, M.S. has been dancing since she learned how to walk. Born in Los Angeles, CA (a worldwide dance hub) and raised in Durham, NC (home of the American Dance Festival), movement is a part of Leneé’s spirit. In 1996, Leneé made history as the youngest captain for the Inaugural NFL Carolina Panthers Cheerleader Squad. In August of 2000, after experiencing paralysis on the left side of her body, Leneé received a heartbreaking diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Grateful to utilize her dance and Kinesiology education, Leneé regained mobility and strength in what her doctors deemed “record timing”. During one of the most challenging times in her life, God showed Leneé that incorporating Complementary and Alternative (CAM) Therapies into her treatment plan would be instrumental for her continued healing and well-being.
Leneé obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance in 1997, her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Psychology in 2018, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine specializing in Ayurvedic Medicine, Energy Medicine, and Hypnosis.
Leneé is a Licensed Diplomat of Pastoral Science & Medicine (License #L4377796), a NASM® Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist and comprehensively trained in both the Polestar® and Peak Pilates® Methods. She is an SCW Certified Mat Pilates Instructor, Exhale® Certified Barre Instructor, a Spinning® Certified Instructor, NASE® Certified Endurance Coach, a member of the International Association For Dance Medicine & Science, and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
Leneé was twice nominated as “Best Barre Instructor” in Best Self Atlanta Magazine and served as a Featured Contributor/Writer for Best Kept Self Magazine.
Leneé believes that the Lord has given all of us limitless potential through our unique mind-body connection. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and daughter.
