I have always been drawn to Mother Teresa. For whatever reason I felt a kingship to her from an early age. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I realized why… She was a fatherless daughter. She lost her father when she was a mere 8 years old. By the age of 12 she committed her life to helping others. By the age of 13 my father had died, and I, too, committed myself to helping others as the voice for fatherless daughters all over the world.
Now I am not saying I am Mother Teresa, believe me, I am nowhere close to that type of sainthood. However, I do think there is a lesson here.
Think about it…what could you do to help others not matter how difficult your past has been. How could turn your pain into purpose?
Mother Teresa was canonized on September 4, 2016 at Saint Peter’s Square, Vatican City by the one and only Pope Francis.
Now if that does not give you inspiration nothing will!
